RE-OPENING OF THE HARLESTON, WORTWELL & DISTICT ANGLING CLUB
Following the Prime Minister’s announcement and statements from the Angling Trust, Environment
Agency and Suffolk Police Constabulary, HWAC Committee have decided to open all pits as of
08 00 hours Monday 1st June 2020.
However the committee must emphasise that certain stipulations MUST be maintained:
Social distancing of 2 meters must be maintained at all times.
No congregation of anglers.
Only family/household members in the same bivvy.
Only bivvies in appropriate swims all paths to be kept clear.
All anglers to be in possession of hand sanitiser.
Toilets will be open but anglers to use own hand sanitiser.
No pre-booking swims by other anglers or placing buckets in swim.
Overnight fishing will be allowed but with a limit of 48 hours, no return to HWAC pits for 72hours.
(This is a temporary measure in order to allow the maximum number of anglers to fish and will be
reviewed depending on demand and at which time the 7 day rule will then be reintroduced)
If you turn up and find all pegs are taken, leave that pit and try another. Do not walk around.
ANYONE FOUND BREAKING OR ABUSING THE ABOVE STIPULATIONS WILL BE ASKED TO
LEAVE IMMEDIATELY AND A THREE MONTH BAN WILL BE IMPOSED.

Pit at the Eastern gate has been with-drawn by the land owner as well as pegs 104 to 125.
Access by vehicle or foot is strictly forbidden as is anyone walking or fishing from the
aforementioned peg numbers.
